While we learned about lot about the best duvets in the introduction to duvets, there could be several other things we can still take away from learning more about the best duvets to buy. The biggest thing you will find with cotton duvets is the affordability. They are extremely affordable compared to other fabric duvets which makes them a great alternative for budget friendlies, college kids, or those just starting life out of their own.

Or if you are like me and prefer to get a cheaper duvet or comforter with the intent on replacing it a lot sooner than expected. I like to do that because my styles change or just love the feel of a brand new duvet or comforter. I find it’s a great way to keep things fresh without spending a ton of money.

1. Lampshades

2. Rearrange

I’m always found rearranging furniture was a great way to liven up a room. It helps give even wear to you floor, carpet, walls, and furniture. Plus, while you are doing that you can clean those hard to reach spots making the room extra fresh!

3. Shop in your house

Do you have a wall that you just don’t know what to do with? Shop your house! Home designers use this technique all the time. Go in those old closets and boxes and fine some old picture frames to re purpose. Get some new pictures or spruce up the frame with a little big of paint. Or maybe you have that odd plate in your cabinet that you just don’t know what to do with? Put it on the wall! It is so fun shopping your house (or maybe visit mom’s to shop her’s!) Plus, it’s free!

Ok, back to duvets.  I went through and picked a few favorites. One of the best things about cotton aside from the being cheap (only in price– not in quality!) is the patterns that are available. So many fun colors to choose from! Surely we can find one that will fit not only your budget, but your taste too!

Here’s the thing about picking out specific duvets, there are so many! Of course, there are several different things I consider before I go ahead and review but when it comes down to it, YOU have to be the one to like the duvet or not.

There are so many different designs out there that you may love the duvet I review, but just plain can’t stand the color. And that’s ok.

Now I do have an idea on the popular styles and colors that are out there so I do try to surround my reviews around that. But in the end it’s you who gets to decide what will work best in your home.

For our last review we are actually going to take a look at what Ikea has. This is a little usually for Ikea to have products available through Amazon, but exciting nonetheless.

Ikea is a great company and most always have rave reviews for all their products so passing on this cotton duvet would sure be a sad thing if that happened.

Heavy Cotton Duvet

This duvet is a little different from the other 2 and not just in name. This cotton duvet is a lot heavier in weight than the other 2. It also doesn’t have that silky softness either. Not to say it’s not soft at all, but it’s just soft in a stronger, heavier kind of way. A lot of people can’t handle too much silky softness, and in that case this would definitely be the duvet to buy for them.

Simple Design

The simple stripe design is beautiful to match with almost any decor. Use it for a child’s room, a college dorm, or your own bedroom. Whatever the place it will be a nice addition to your bedding.
